  • Participant in the GSoC program part-time from home (June - August 2017): Google Summer of Code, received funds of 6,600 USD for 3 months from Google. Project with Mobile Robotics Programming Tootlkit (MRPT). Mentors: Dr. Francisco Moreno, University of Malaga and Mr. Feroze Naina, Carnegie Mellon University - Robotics Institute (CMU-RI)

  • Three Graduate Scholarships/Grants for my Masters studies at York University will be awarded for over the period 2015 - 2017
                -  York University has provided me a funding commitment of $ 56,500 CDN for 5 terms
                -  York Graduate Scholarship of $ 6,000.00 CDN in the first year of my full time study
                -  Mitacs Globalink Graduate Fellowship worth $ 10,000.00 CDN in the first year of my graduate studies

  • Summer Intern (June - August, 2015) for development of a plugin for ImageJ. Received scholarship benefits upto $2750.00 USD by International Neuroscience Coordinating Facility, Sweden. Joint Collaboration with INCF Belgian Node and EPFL Switzerland. Collaborators - Dr. Dimiter Prodanov (INCF Belgian Node), Dr. Daniel Sage (EPFL Switzerland) and Dr. Tomasz Konopczynski (INCF Belgian Node)
 
  • Research Assistant at Center for Vision Research at York University, Canada for 6 months (January – June, 2015) under the supervision of Professor John K. Tsotsos for the topic “Developing and Testing Software for Mobile Robots”. Project sponsored by NSERC Strategic Network on Field Robotics. Received funding of $10,000.00 Canadian Dollars over the 6 months duration.

  • Mitacs Globalink Research Intern 2014, placed at University of Toronto for 12 weeks fully sponsored research contract on the project "Experimental Study of Concurrent and Social Learning Algorithms for robot teams" under the supervision of Dr. Reza Emami. Grant and additional benefits worth in total - $7500.00 CDN were provided by Mitacs.

  • Winter Fellowship for November 2013 – December 2013 at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus on the project “Development of an indigenous chip for testing antibiotic sensitivity of pathogens found in the human urinary tract” (funded project by NPMASS-DRDO) under supervision of Dr. Suman Kapur. 10,000.00 INR was given as a stipend.



Technical Achievements

  • I was a Finalist for the Best Paper Award at the 11th International Conference on Computer Vision Systems (ICVS), July 10-13, 207, Shenzhen, China.
  • I won the Best Robotics Paper Award at the 14th Conference on Computer and Robot Vision (CRV) 2017, Edmonton, May 17-19, 2017.
  • My Mitacs Internship experience was published by internfeel. Click here to read. 
  • Won cash prize of Rs. 30,000 for presenting the idea of Detecting Urinary Tract Infection which brought down the time from 3 days to 3 hours in technical fest of BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus. Machine was displayed and run successfully at the competition. Event organized by Shrishti sponsored by CFI.
  • Won the 1st prize in the line following bot competition in my University in November, 2011.
  • Won the maze solver competition at ATMOS (technical fest of BITS Pilani – Hyderabad campus) 2012.
  • Stood 3rd in IIT Bombay zonal grid solving competition in November,2012
  • Won the MXIT hackathon. Was awarded a smart phone as a prize and opportunity of internship in mxit office, Hyderabad in summer 2013.
  • SAT 2 (subject test: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) score of 2290/2400 took in June, 2011
