Navigation of Mobile Robots in Dynamic Human Environments

September 2017 - March 2018) at York University
Currently this project is on HOLD, to be resumed in Summer 2019.

This project involves navigation by a mobile robot in a dynamic environment based on vision. It is assumed that the static map of the environment is known prior to the execution. The robot needs to navigate from a start point to a end point with humans moving in the scene. The robot needs to take into account the motion of the dynamic agents present in the scene and take control action which makes it navigate to the goal in an optimum manner. Major components of the thesis involves addressing the following topics - path planning algorithms and localization.

*1 paper on Localization accepted at the 15th Conference on Computer and Robot Vision (CRV 2018)
*1 Navigation paper : COMING SOON or maybe not!!
